Dear Former Students, Alumni and Friends of Carmel, 

I am writing this personal letter to my former students and all alumni that I did not teach.  I feel like I know many of you and your families.  After all I taught many of you and taught your children and members of your family. 

 After twenty-eight years of teaching first grade I decided two years ago to retire.  You are probably asking, “Why did she come back”.  Well, I have always held this school dear to my heart with a commitment and desire to help as much as I can.  Education is a mission that I chose many years ago.

 This year we are asking all alumni and friends to consider a donation to the “Adopt A Student Fund Appeal,” in support of Catholic Education and the students of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Elementary School.  We have been so very blessed and grateful for the support, which so many of you have so graciously given us in the past.  In the spirit of Carmel we are seeking your assistance once again.  We want these children to walk together in the same faith tradition and to be able to pass on this faith as you did so many years ago.  We hope that you will prayerfully consider these students that need that extra help to receive the quality education that you yourself received.

 Thank you for your continued support and dedication to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School.  The school and I look forward to your response. I’d love to hear from you.
